Pneumatic dent puller
« on: October 23, 2012, 11:20:00 PM »
Last Tuesday at the  A&W while moving my bike around, it fell over.  I caught it before it hit the ground, but when lifting it with my knee, I put a nice dent in the tank.  These photos kinda suck but they're better than just my verbal description.  The dent was worse than the photo shows.

As usual, when planning on buying $6.00 worth of fittings at Princess Auto, I ended up buying a tool that I just couldn't resist ... for substantially more.

I used the smallest suction cup.  I wish it came with a smaller one.

Cranked on the air.  Two light pulls with the slide hammer and the dent was virtually gone.

This is a very handy tool, and any club members can borrow it.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Think I'll be bringing my Suzuki tank with me on my next trip to P.G. Looks like a really cool tool.

I still am not sure if I will be getting to Parker's Tech Night or not.  I generally have Tuesdays set aside, but I also have to get my daughter to Judo on Tuesdays and it all depends on when my wife finished work.  Bring your gas tank if you don't hear further and I will try to make sure I attend.  If I know later today for sure whether I can make it or not, I'll let you know.

I am assuming Parker has an air compressor.

Don't go out of your way for tuesday, I can only make it after 8:30 and you really are a 1 min drive from my house. I can always swing by if I see your garage lights on.

Hey Dennis , Bring that thing tomorrow.  I have compressed air, and my KZ 650 cold use the treatment.
