I came to the conclusion that having storage on my bike was a good idea. Nothing too big, I really don't like saddle bags. I like clean, minimalist and sleek. When I was searching online I came across pics of Triumphs with leather bags in place of side covers. I loved the look but for some reason havent seen any other make of bike sporting the bags. So I made my own. I made a backing out of aluminum plate, formed the opening from all-around and wrapped it in leather from a tattered saddle bag from Waynes back yard. Turned out great for a first stab at leather work.
