Title: Next Project - Honda VFR750F from Scuba Steve
Post by: Hans on July 12, 2022, 03:01:55 PM
Guy has taken the dented tank to Lindy Schram who has one of those spot weld and pull dent pullers.  Lindy figures he can get it to where we'll just need to body fill the rest.

After Lindy's good work, some body filler will smarten that up.  First though, the failed cream sealer need removal.  The interwebs says to use Methyl Ethyl Ketone, which we can get at Crappy Tire for $17/litre.  Guy is going to grab some and give it a go. It was suggested that all the paint gets stripped off just in case there are other issues that need fixing.

Stop by Canadian Tire today and they have a 4 L jug of ketone at $62 so I told him I'll wait until the 21st when they should be getting it in liter containers, hopefully that's enough at $17.99 a liter

Kaziff,

I have a litre. Well... 946ml... well probably only about 800 ml left.
You know where I live.
